TTOO Grupo Piñero amènera plus de 3 000 touristes à Samaná

It was reported that the figure will soar to more than 4,000 guests considering the visitors arriving until the month of December.

Grupo Piñero, through its tour operator Soltour, presented once again the summer route with direct flights from Madrid to one of the most exotic destinations in the country: the Samaná peninsula, a valuable tourist offer that promises to show an authentic Dominican Republic, through the promotion of the experience offered by the beaches and gastronomy.

The start of the season was marked by the arrival of the inaugural flight with 275 tourists from Spain and Portugal. This flight arrived last Sunday, July 3 at the Juan Bosch El Catey Samaná International Airport. This summer activation will include a total of 12 flights every Sunday in July until September 11 of this year.

In view of this, it is estimated that more than 3,000 tourists will visit and enjoy the amenities of Bahia Principe Hotels & Resorts and other attractions that the destination has to offer. The figure will soar to more than 4,000 guests considering the visitors arriving until December.

Under the concept « The best version of the Caribbean, the best version of you », the 360 communication campaign has as its main piece a short film shot in Samaná and directed by Spanish film director and screenwriter Daniel Sánchez-Arévalo, winner of a Goya Award. The spot stars renowned Spanish actor Hugo Silva.

The campaign was presented in Samaná at a meeting that brought together representatives of the Group, national and international authorities, where Tammy Reynoso, Vice Minister of Development – Ministry of Tourism; Mónika Infante, Director of Aeropuertos Dominicanos Siglo XXI (Aerdom); and on behalf of Grupo Piñero: Teresa Arizti, Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) of Soltour Travel Partners; and Genaro Benítez, Country Manager of Bahia Principe Hotels & Resorts in the Dominican Republic, were present.

In that sense, Arizti highlighted that, « the magic of Samaná as a unique destination drove us to carry out this unprecedented international campaign, and we are sure that we are on the right track. Samaná best exemplifies that authentic Dominican Republic that awakens the curiosity of international tourists who are looking for a unique, complete and different experience in the destination that goes beyond the sun and beach offer ».

Deputy Minister Reynoso explained that « the materialization of these flights is synonymous with perseverance, public-private synergy and connectivity, attributes that for this government are key in our mission to take the Dominican offer to the next level, which translates into continuing to position the country as a complete and experiential destination that embraces respect for the environment and greater interaction with the communities ».

Clearly, the welcome received by tourists who have already set a date to visit Samaná proves the dynamism and confidence that the Dominican Republic, and especially the destination, transmits after the challenges experienced by the Covid-19 pandemic.
